Rare Motor Sports Art and Automobilia on Display

Talented artists have always been able to look at the world around them differently — often creating a vision of life as they’d like to see it on their canvas or in their photograph or poster.

Now, the same opportunity exists for anyone who’s passionate about the form or function of the automobile.

Garage Unlimited of Monterey, a high-end garage condominium facility purposely designed for the needs of luxury, racing or classic cars and motorcycles — and their owners — offers you the chance to create and be part of a unique community dedicated to all kinds of motor sports, car shows and hobbyist projects.

Bill Patterson
The Official Artist of Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, Bill set aside his architecture degree when he decided to devote his life to painting. He does an array of commissioned work for private and corporate clients and has performed his unique “live painting” for corporations worldwide, including Mazda, IBM, FedEx, Microsoft, Yokohama, and Delphi. Although he’s best known in auto racing circles, he also paints other “motionsports” including skiing (one of his earliest passions), tennis, sailing, and hockey. You can see Bill’s work at billpatterson.com.

Gloria Jean Jelladian
Gloria’s fine art combines her love for cars, photography, pets, and people with her graphic art expertise. Her digital fine art is created by photographing a subject and then enhancing the photographs using graphic software. She refined her flair for color combinations while studying oil painting and design under Carmel-by-the-Sea fine artist, John Cunningham, of the Carmel Art Institute. She also has many years of experience sculpting abstract Angels out of manzanita wood. For more about her work, visit jelladianart.com.

Alex Wakefield
Alex became a motor sports fan growing up in a small town in Iowa. He dabbled in kart racing as a kid, and while he loved it, his track record wasn’t very compelling. But as an artist, his ability to capture the pivotal moments in racing is second to none. Alex will distill a race performance down to a particular lap and a specific turn — then sketch in pencil before painting the finished masterpiece in his distinctive oils. His works hang not only in collectors’ homes, but also in track lounges and other venues, as well as appearing on magazine covers such as on the current issue of the Porsche Club of America’s Panorama.
