If you’ve been keeping an eye on Garage Unlimited of Monterey — thinking it might be nice to have a garage-condo unit in Monterey to store your cars, but that you’ve got plenty of time to decide — your time has almost run out.
• Since construction wrapped around April 1st, escrows have closed on 41 of the 46 units
• Two additional garage-condos are pending sales
• That leaves just three units available only five months after Garage Unlimited of Monterey opened
• Choose from Units 12, 17 or 18 — each with approximately 1,530 sq. ft. of space
Showings are occurring multiple times weekly as interested parties realize that this is their last chance to become part of this unique, yet affordable car community. With market-favorable conditions such as the current low interest rate environment making for favorable purchases, it’s not an exaggeration to say that the remaining units are unlikely to be around for long.
More Than Storage — a True Car Community
What makes Garage Unlimited of Monterey special is that it’s not simply upgraded mini-storage. The brand new facility features units specially designed for storing cars, motorcycles, boats and even RVs — as well as household items such as vacation-home furniture and business materials — things you’d like to get out of your garage at home! Large roll-up doors 12 ft. wide by 14 ft. high make moving vehicles in and out quick and easy. The complex is completely enclosed with 24×7 access control, abundant lighting, video in common areas, and alarms in each unit.
Want to work on your cars? Of course you can — that’s what garages are for. And what makes these units especially cool is that with ceiling heights of up to 25 ft., mezzanines have been built into every unit. Standing 15 ft. above the garage floor, accessed by an internal staircase, these spaces are being customized by owners into offices or leisure retreats. Cat-6 wiring and optional cable hook-ups let you arrange for Internet, phone service and television.
That’s why Garage Unlimited has emerged as a unique car community. This is where you and your new friends will gather on race weekends — or any weekend that you want to hang out, swap car stories and maybe pick up a wrench or two, if needed.

Meet our Newest Team Member: Gordon McCall
If you’re into cars or motorcycles on the Monterey Peninsula, you know the Gordon McCall name. McCall’s Motorworks Revival at the Monterey Jet Center jumps starts the annual Monterey Car Week festivities. Gordon is also a co-founder of “The Quail” A Motorsports Gathering and “The Quail” A Motorcycle Gathering events.
And now, Gordon is the newest member of the team responsible for Garage Unlimited — as well as the next great car-driven development planned for the Monterey area — Monterey Motorsport Park, scheduled to be open for occupancy adjacent to Monterey Regional Airport in early 2019. Monterey Motorsport Park will be an even more upscale garage-condo car community — with similar features to Garage Unlimited such as large roll-up doors, mezzanines with Cat-1 and cable TV connections, and more.
